i found out over last weekend one of my friends has cancer. i want to go visit her for this weekend in hospital whilst shees having chemo.

what things can i bring to help entertain her? she is jewish and will be on sabbath so nothing electric.

Just be a good listener…. all my friend did when he had cancer was just talk, and talk and talk… you need to listen to her and keep positive

magazines, newspapers – but just be there and talk to her. She will want to talk – just be a good listener. And be prepared to be shocked – chemo takes a horrible loss on people – she will probably look dreadful.

EDIT : ohhhhhhh my friend developed a dreadful craving for ice cream during chemo – find out what she fancies!

DOUBLE EDIT : love love love Carls idea – what a brilliant thought!!!
