what was the name of those Jewish time travelers animated movies?

they oppened with the man, red head, and indian friend whos always hungry, and they fall through the sand and end up in this underground temple where the gates open and a big light flashes and they travel back in time to king david and noahs ark and stuff.

My children used to watch those movies all the time! We still have the videos!
They are called "The Greatest Adventure Stories from the Bible" by Hanna-Babera.
They were not jewish however they were archeologists with the indian boy who was laways hungry always getting into trouble aswell. They did indeed travel back in time by falling through the sand into an underground temple which when the inscriotion on the doors was read, the doors opened into a Bible story from the Bible.
We have Daniel and the Lions Den, David and Goliath. but theres a whole series I`m sure can now find on Amazon on DVD?
We have the video cassettes…well loved during the early childhood years :)

Hope this helps

Why doesn’t Jewish Hollywood make any movies about the Jewish role in Communism or the African slave trade?

Nazi, Nazi, Nazi over and over again is boring, guys. How about historical truth?

A jew that makes any of these is a self-hating jew

Why would some movies, specifically remark that one of the situations or things are Jewish?

Posted by admin on July 16th, 2010 and filed under Jewish Movies | 2 Comments »

Please no offensive answers.
I love to watch any kind of movies especially comedies, romance and fantastic. And some of them are (not all of them) giving remarks, that someone or something is Jewish???

I’m myself not Jewish, but Catholic.

It is just a remark, you know if you are Jewish or from particular race, obviously you would remark yourself in the movie to show off. Not all of the movies made by Jewish (except Disney), but if they are, so What!!!!! Who cares!!

What are some movies with Jewish weddings?

What’s the reason why every wedding in movies are Jewish when only 4% of the US are Jews?

Do movie producers have a thing for Jews?

Jews actually comprise a tiny bit less than two percent of the population…there are around six million Jews in the United States.

Eastern European Jewish immigrants were instrumental in creating the motion picture industry, so it makes sense that just a few generations after creating that industry that Jews are overrepresented percentage-wise in this industry..however, it is UTTERLY absurd to consider that Jews control or even are the largest number of people involved IN that industry now.

And maybe it’s the movie theatre you’re attending or drive by that only shows Jewish wedding movies, because as a Jewish woman who has lived her life in the United States….I certainly do not see a majority of weddings in movies or on television depicted as Jewish weddings.

A SACRED DUTY: Applying Jewish Values To Help Heal The World

Posted by admin on July 9th, 2010 and filed under Jewish Movies | No Comments »

A Major Documentary on Current Environmental Threats and How Jewish Teachings Can Be Applied in Responding to These Threats.

Produced by Emmy-Award-winning producer, director, writer, and cinematographer Lionel Friedberg, A SACRED DUTY will take its place alongside Al Gore’s AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH and Leonardo di Caprio’s THE ELEVENTH HOUR as another powerful expose of the dangers of global warming. However, it goes beyond the latter two films, by showing how religious responses can make a major difference and why a shift toward plant-based diets is an essential part of efforts to reduce global climate change and other environmental threats.
